Er ist für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene geeignet.\nCa. 650 n.Chr. entstand in der irakischen Stadt Kufa die erste Stilart der arabischen Kalligrafie namens Kufi. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte entwickelten sich unzählige weitere Stilarten heraus, die bis heute Moscheen, öffentliche Gebäude, die Seiten des Korans und Privathäuser schmücken und ihre Betrachter dank ihrer enormen Ästhetik in den Bann ziehen. Doch wie entsteht ein solches Kunstwerk? In unserer Intensiv-Workshop-Reihe Islamische Kalligrafie macht der renommierte Kalligraf Adel Ibrahim Al Sudany aus Mainz mit den Basics dieser Kunst vertraut.\nAdel Ibrahim al Sudany beschäftigt sich seit mehr als 20 Jahren intensiv mit der Kunst der Kalligrafie und hat ein fundiertes Wissen, sowohl in der Praxis als auch in der Theorie. Er studierte an der Kalligrafie-Akademie in Bagdad, schloss sein Studium mit einer klassischen Lehrerlaubnis (Ijāza) ab und arbeitet seither als Kalligraf und Grafiker in Deutschland. Seine Werke waren bereits auf zahlreichen Ausstellungen, renommierten Veranstaltungen und großen Messen zu bewundern. (www.sudany.de)\nIm Intensiv-Workshop wird unser Künstler die Teilnehmenden, neben theoretischen Grundlagen zu Papier und Tinte, an die traditionelle Kalligrafie-Feder aus Bambus (Qalam) heranführen. Dementsprechend sind für die Teilnahme am Intensiv-Workshop Vorkenntnisse der arabischen Schrift nicht zwingend notwendig. Jede und jeder erhält vom Künstler eine individuelle Anleitung und kann sich bei der Veranstaltung am eigenen Lerntempo orientieren. Wem das nicht reicht, dem bietet sich die Möglichkeit am Ende mit einem Kalligrafie-Starterset nach Hause zu gehen, sich auf das nächste Mal zu freuen und an den eigenen Lernfortschritten unter Begleitung und Anleitung des Künstlers weiterzuarbeiten.
